Denouement uses artificial intelligence to help wedding and event planners work more efficiently. We believe you deserve to understand exactly how AI works in our Platform, what data we use, and what we do not do.
This policy is published consistent with California AB 2013 (Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code §22756 et seq., effective January 1, 2026) and applicable Federal Trade Commission guidance on AI transparency.
Denouement uses AI and automated systems in the following ways:
AI analyzes vendor contracts you upload to extract key information: payment dates and amounts, cancellation policies, liability provisions, scope of services, and other material terms. This helps planners quickly understand their contractual obligations across multiple vendors.
What this means for you: The AI reads your uploaded contracts and creates a structured summary. You should always verify AI-extracted information against the original document before relying on it.
AI identifies payment milestones, due dates, and amounts from contracts and documents, and organizes them into a centralized payment schedule.
What this means for you: AI-generated payment schedules are derived from your documents. Confirm all dates and amounts independently.
AI generates task lists, deadline reminders, and draft communications based on your event timeline and vendor data.
What this means for you: Automated tasks and draft communications are suggestions. You control what actions are taken.
AI classifies and organizes uploaded documents into categories based on content.
Denouement AI features are built on foundation models provided by third-party AI infrastructure providers (such as large language model APIs). These providers are disclosed in our Sub-Processor List.
To improve Platform-specific AI features, we may use:
We maintain contractual protections with our AI infrastructure providers prohibiting them from using your data for their own model training under our enterprise agreements.
Where Denouement generates AI-assisted content (contract summaries, payment schedules, task lists, draft communications), that content is clearly labeled in the Platform interface.
AI is a tool, not a source of truth. AI-generated output:
You are responsible for reviewing AI output and for all decisions you make based on that output. Denouement is a tool to support your professional judgment, not replace it.
No AI feature in Denouement makes binding financial, legal, or operational decisions on your behalf without your explicit confirmation.
All AI features in Denouement are designed with human review as a required step before consequential actions. We do not deploy fully autonomous AI agents that take actions on your behalf without a confirmation step.
We use third-party AI services to power some Platform features. These sub-processors are listed at denouement.ai/legal/subprocessors and are governed by our Data Processing Agreement. We select sub-processors who provide appropriate contractual protections for your data.
You have the right to:
Consistent with California Business and Professions Code §22756 et seq.:
We will update this policy when our AI capabilities, training data practices, or third-party AI providers materially change. Material updates will be communicated by email and in-app notice.
